Assaults by police in New Brunswick



On July 2, 2021, an RCMP officer in Campbellton was recorded punching an individual multiple times while he was being held on the ground by a second RCMP officer. The RCMP was called because the individual was holding a stick. Read more about the case.

On June 4, 2020 RCMP went to do a wellness check on 26 year old Chantel Moore, an Indigenous woman from British Columbia. That wellness check didn't go well for Chantel because she ended up being shoot to death by the officer. An investigation into the shooting is taking place. Read more about Chantel.

On June 12, 2020 RCMP shot and killed 48 year old Rodney Levi. The investigation into the police shooting resulted in no charges for the RCMP as of January 25, 2021. Read more about Rodney.
